Microsoft Community Contributor label not displayed under my display name in user profile. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I received the award yesterday. I went through all the steps and accepted it. I don't see "MCC" under my display name. Can someone tell me the reason for this?

  • V284,

first congratulation for receiving the avard.

You won`t ever see MCC but Micrsosoft Community Contributor and it will take a while until your profile will be updated.

If you have got questions about this, just ask.

  • Once you have this listed people will start thinking you work for Microsoft.

I have a thread asking for a name change. (The people (man + dog ?) behind the award don't allow use of MCC which would get round the problem and people in the forums see Microsoft and assume you are paid to support them.

Given that the "award" is otherwise useless, having people in the forums complain about you as a Microsoft employee isn't great.
