  • Question

  • Hi there,

I'm not exactly sure how, but I've had some problems with my mesh. So I removed all folders from my pc and synchronized them from scratch. However, when this was done, I still get MANY conflict errors.

    How is this possible?

All I want is the files from the online mesh desktop.

  • Since you are restarting everything and wish to sync *from* the Live Desktop to the PC, I would do the following:

    1. Go to the Live Desktop at www.mesh.com and remove the device from the Mesh.

    2. uninstall Live Mesh from the PC.

    3. Delete the folders where you were synchronizing to and then make new folders which you intend to use as the sync end points on this PC or simply delete all files from these folders so that they are empty.

    4. Reinstall Live Mesh and sign in.

    5. Click the offered folders to Browse to the sync end points or click OK to sync with the default location on the PC desktop.

  • When you remove the folders, did you simply delete them or did you change the sync properties on the Live Desktop for those folders to stop synchronizing with the PC and then delete the local folders? If you simply deleted them, that's why you are seeing conflicts listed.

  • Thanks, but that isn't working either.

    Here's what I tried:

    - Go to my Life Mesh Folders

    - Right click my folder and press: Change sync settings...

    - Set sync settings of PC to 'never'

    - Delete the physical folder files were synced to

    - Press the shortcut on my desktop to reassign the folder

    - Wait for sync to complete

  • Thanks again.

I did what you suggested, but I'm still getting conflict errors.

Is there any cashe or something that doesn't get cleared right? Because I don't see how a clean download could contain any conflicts...

  • Sorry for the delayed reply - personal issues kept me away from the forums all week.

Are you still seeing the conflicts? A complete reinstall *after* removing the PC from the Mesh should not result in conflicts unless you are merging a folder. if the destination folder is empty, there will be a warning at merge, but no conflicts will result.
