XP validation problem RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have Windows XP installed on a Dell GX270 I bought off eBay. It has a valid COA sticker (XXXXX-XXXXX-CWRPK-FF7MX-DY6WJ) on it but after downloading a MS update today, I get this message saying my XP isn't genuine.
How can I fix this problem?

  • Never mind - I was able to get it to accept the legitimate COA code by using Microsoft's Product Key Updater Utility referred to in another post on this board.

    All is well now!!!!
