Umm I dont know if this is a problem or what. Basically KB890830 carries on installing over and over again. I thought maybe the file is corrupt and therefore it keeps on being added to windows update but whenever I check the history its been installed successfully so why does the update keep coming back. I have installed it several times in one day restarted and its there again ready to be installed.

Well I dont about the rest of u, but it installed fine but its cocked up the internet on 2 of my machines. for some reason it has caused Zonealarm to block all traffic going to my router. Microsoft if you really monitor this place get it sorted and get back to me, if you need my e-mail address to get back to me let me know on here. By the way one machine is XP the other is w2k

I got the same problem (on XP) when KB890830 was installed. I have to lower ZoneAlarm Internet Zone Security to Medium to open any web page in any browser. I can ping Web addresses so it is not a problem with the Router. I assume it is a bug in KB890830.Thursday, July 10, 2008 11:20 AM
