quoting a long post prevents me from replying

Question

I tried quoting SharePoint Novice's reply in this thread:
http://social.expression.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/general/thread/b8b93a5e-80cd-4a22-ad0a-2c00072ae025/?ffpr=0
but when I do this, the popup editor shows me only their quoted reply ... when I try scrolling the editor to get to the bottom of the quoted text, I can't. Only the threads behind the editor are scrolled.

Hi Anna,
I have the feeling, this has to do something with the screen resolution. Since we have these new 19" wide screen displays with 1440x900 resolution, I cannot see what I type in a longer thread after writing a few lines sometimes.
This never happens on my monitor at home, which has a higher resolution (especially the height).

The editor itself should have a scroll bar (I just tested it). The one at the far right will scroll the page. The one in the editor will scroll the contents of the editor...

Hi Matt,
but what sense makes the scrollbar, it the lower part of the editor is below the screen border? In this case you cant scroll further, because Editor thinks that the message is shown completely, so no scrollbar - but you dont see it.
As being said - only seen on my PC at work with the strange resolution.

Olaf is right, the editor window falls below the IE window and using the scrollbar does not help.

For illustration a screenshot of the behavior can be found here.
Was enough, to scroll the mouse wheel a little bit to make the lower part of the own posting dive below the screen border.
