  • Hi Sanjeev,

Go for Revised Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) for .Net Framework 4 / VS 2010

If your are a Windows developer go for 70-511 Exam or if you are web developer go for 70-515

You no need to take up the lengthy 70-536 (for .Net 2.0) since this exam is no longer prerequisite for MCTS

Exam 70-511: TS: Windows Applications Development with Microsoft .NET Framework 4  http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/exam.aspx?ID=70-511#tab1

Exam 70-515: TS: Web Applications Development with Microsoft .NET Framework 4

  • Hi Sanjeev,

I would say that the best place to start for any Microsoft development certifiaction is with exam 70-536 in .NET 3.5

Have a look at the MCPD certification here: http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/certification/mcpd.aspx#tab2 - You will be able to gain your MCPD in .NET 3.5 using either C# or Visual Basic.

I have seen a few questions here about .NET 4.0 certifications but these are not available yet. But now that Visual Studio 2010 is comming soon I would guess that a MCPD for .Net 4.0 will follow. But this is just a guess and I cannot be certian to if or when .NET 4.0 certs will become available any time soon.

Hoppe this helps, best of luck with your training.
