a charge to update to 64 bit vista RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have vista home premium 32 bit, on a toshiba laptop with a 64 bit processer and 4 gig of memory after I upgraded it. After at least 8 hours of searching on the internet I found out the only way I can use all 4 gig of memory is to upgrade to 64 bit, but the only way to upgrade is to pay for the software since my laptop was installed 32 bit. I have been a Microsoft user since 3.1 windows and I am dumb founded by this because now you have the option to choose either 32 or 64 bit when activating, why can I not upgrade for free, please send me an e-mail and let me know if there is a way I can upgrade for free. I am also trying to send an to Toshiba.
