  • Using home server 2nd pc set and opperates fine,3yr.old laptop. 3rd pc setup just like first both units have xp home The first pc set up will not backup and has xp pro and is 2 months old, and will not compete th installatio all goes fine untill you try to finish set up after getting the 2 green checks it hangs the sys. When I run toolkit check I get two failures one is Remote desktop proxy port is not allowed the second is Windows home server app. pool is off.. If I could find out how to correct these so I could bacup this pc life would be great All 3 pc have xp fully updated imcluding SP3

  • Did you already install Power Pack 2 (if it is the English version of Windows Home Server) and try to install the connector via http://server:55000 (replace server with the name of your server here)?

    Are you running the Toolkit on the client or the server?  Have you looked at the event logs on your client around the times you tried to install the software?

  • It's on the client and server the 2 failures are from the server on the client it says it's the wrono sooftware and is different from servser but can't be because ti is the same on the other 2 pc.
