Live Mesh Desktop Down? RRS feed

  • Question

  • When I try to access the Live Mesh page, I can login but then I get an error with the message that "This service isn't available right now. Please try again later". I've tried this on IE8 and FF3.5 and neither can my friend on IE8 and Chrome.

  • I have the same issues in New Zealand, using IE8 on Windows 7 Enterprise with no previous problems.
It is obviously a server issue.
    Please help Live Mesh Team.

There's apparently a Windows Live ID issue with LiveIDs with "invalid" characters in the first position of the name field. This is affecting login to multiple services and it returns an error code in Messenger (and perhaps other services).

  • Sorry, I accidently have proposed this as an answer. The above Windows Live ID issue has nothing to do with the Live Mesh Desktop being down. Sorry for the mistake. Issue has resolved. Live Desktop incl. Live Mesh Devices are back online and running. :-)
