Console will not run, Drive extender migrator service will not run. RRS feed

    I have been using WHS for about 2 weeks, works well, add-ins work well. However suddenly I get "connection lost to WHS" on client PC and "Drive extender migrator not running on WHS".
    The extender migrator service is indeed not running, when I start it the service immediately terminates. If I run the Connector on the server from attached KBD and Monitor nothing happens (Connector does not activate).
    Using client PC, remote access to the WHS web page works fine, access to Shares as mapped net drives works fine but Connector does not run. I have re-loaded Connector on client PC, same results.
    Any ideas?

    Hello,
    could it be, that you mix up connector (the little, usually green icon in the clients system tray) and Console (which is the configuration interface for WHS)?
    Is it a self built system or an OEM Windows Home Server appliance?
    Please check the event log on the server for errors and warnings (maybe you have a disk fail), which may help to narrow down the cause.
    You have already tried a reboot?
    Did you apply already all updates for Windows Home Server (hard to determine without console), maybe run Windows Update from within IE manually).
    Check also, if there is still enough free disk space on the C: drive and if the system time and date are correct.
