can not join a compute node to a hpc cluster RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

i'm trying to add manually some compute nodes to a HPC Cluster. So i have installed the HPC Pack on the nodes and have klicked ton " Join a Cluster" during the installation. The eventlog on the nodes says
"Successfully connected to the store on the headnode." and  "This compute node is a member the cluster 'HPCCluster'." but in the cluster Node Manager the nodes not appears. So i can't add the node in the Cluster Manager. What i'm doing wrong?

  • you will need to create a 'non-imaging template' --  go to the create node wizard and create a templae that does not have an OS image.

go to the add node wizard, select - add pre-configured nodes... select all the nodes that show up- next select the template you created in the previous step.

this should add nodes to your cluster.
out of curiosity, what is your clusters  network topology?
