product code not accepted

Question

I purchased a Toshiba laptop 2 years ago. I recently had to run the Toshiba Recovery and Applications/Drivers dics because my laptop would not start up. After getting my computer working, I downloaded all the Windows updates. When I use anything in Excel or Word, I get a window asking for a product key. When I type in the product key xxxxx-xxxx-xxxxx-6DB7R-7Q49G, I get a message: The key is incorrect. Verify that you have the correct key, and then retype it. I would like to know what I need to do to either prevent the window asking for the product key to come up, or what I can type in as the product key to stop this message from coming up.

Hello edyak,
Where are you seeing this key?
The key you posted is not a valid Product Key for any Microsoft Software. Please be sure you are reading the letters correctly (example O's and Q's as well as W's and VV can sometimes look alike).
Thank you,
