Windows 10 Update Too Large to Fit on a Brand New Lenovo Laptop That came with Windows 10 Preinstalled RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have a Lenovo laptop with 32gb of internal storage space, that was purchased with Windows 10 64 bit pre-installed. I am trying to update Windows, as Microsoft advises, but it is telling me there is not enough disk space, despite there being virtually nothing else other than Windows on the laptop. I even tried installing the update using an external hard drive, however the update manager still insists I need to free up 8gb of disk space on the primary hard drive. Even if I removed every single file from the system that is not a Windows file, this much space simply does not exist on the primary hard drive.

What is the solution for this?
