Office 365 Does Not Automatically Save Files In Locations Where They Are Created RRS feed

  • In the last 6 months or so, our customers have been having a problem when trying to save files created from SharePoint sites.

    The desired behavior is to create a new file using templates within a SharePoint document library and then save the file within that same file library.  When the user clicks the save button, a dialog box will open within that same file library and the user saves the file.

    However recently, users have found that the file location to be saved reverts back to a previous location instead of the current document library.  The user has to be really alert to realize that the file location may not be what he thinks and to catch the issue before the file is saved in the wrong location.

    This issue happens randomly, so its hard to troubleshoot.  I was just wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem, and if so, have you come up with a solution.
