MS Dynamics CRM 2011 Search for Accounts and Contact Entity records RRS feed

  • Hi,

    I would like to ask help in resolving our issue for our Dynamics CRM 2011 instance. Before we were able to use the search in Accounts and Contacts entity. But suddenly it just stop working correctly, whenever we do a search it doesn't return any record where in there should be returned records. Search works on other Entities except Accounts and contacts.

    Hope you could help me on this.

  • How are you searching ? Is this via Quick Find (type in a search string), or Advanced Find ? And are you using the browser or Outlook interface.

    If the issue is with Quick Find, then someone may have modified the QuickFind views for these entities. Either adding extra filters, or removing Find columns could cause the find to return no data

  • Yes i have added a plugin to fetch contact information. It was just a simple code. Before, the search is working. All of a sudden we just observed that its not working. Hope you could help me resolve this.

  • Yes, we search using Quick Find and we use browser interface. We don't add extra filters, we just include other fields to be searched. Is there any way to determine the cause of the issue?

    Is that Plugin registered under RetrieveMultiple message? Can you share your Plugin code?

    This has been resolved. One of my colleague edited the filter and did not inform us. I just remove the conflicting filter and it work.
