Windows XP reinstall, can't activate my genuine advantage RRS feed

  • Question

  • I just reinstalled my windows XP after formatting my computer.  I purchased the Genuine Avantage kit in July 2006 (have the receipt still and disc still).  I don't have the e-mail with the product key anymore, but found what I thought was the key on the holographic disc.  It installed fine after that, but now I cannot activate Windows.  Help?

  • Good Morning Patrynn,

The product key used for installing Windows XP appears to be blocked by Microsoft so the key isnt the right one. Please refer to the following link for phone numbers and operational hours. Let them know you have lost your product key.
