Vista Validation check on dowload page crashes IE.

Question
-
I have installed Vista and have been advised by Vista to install KB941649. When I go to the MS link and try to download the first thing I'm asked to do is Validate. I click on Validate and it closes IE (all windows and all sessions) then relaunches IE. It has also been happening trying to post to any MS forum/help site. I have been trying for three days to post to this forum and only this morning does it seem to be working....we shall see. I aslo installed Netscape when I encountered this problem and it also crashes when I try to use it to run the validation check.

Thanks Carey, it looks like I passed the diagnostics....all were pass. When I tried the validation button....it crashed IE.
Any thoughts?
Chris

Hi CJB,
Everything looks good with your Diagnostic Report and Results. I would say that IE was having some sort of bug or issue, but you mentioned that Netscape experienced the same crash so it does not appear to be specific to IE.
I would suggest opening a (no cost) WGA Support Request at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52029
Thank you,
