Re:Unable to perform the Windows Live One Care Security Scan RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • My PC has been acting quite strange.
    1. The PC's clock has changed and denies me access to the control panel or by way of the toolbar to reset clock or open
any other control panel file to set up schedules or to defragment and clean up files etc..

    2. As a result or a McAfee virus scan and the results showing that there was a trojan in quarentine(I removed it). It recommended I startup in safemode and go to Windows Lice One Care and run a security scan.  I tried to follow safemode directions (Did start in safemode)to do a OneCare scan and it doesn't run, freezes up. Also tried to run same scan in normal mode...doesn't work either.

    3. Windows Defender has failed to update and once again PC wouldn't allow me access to scan or set time to run.
I am worried that the PC has been infected.  What can I try to rectify this problem?
