old custom field checkbox - cant create workflow to set it to "No" value RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,
We are using Dynamics CRM 2013, which was recently upgraded from 2011.

I have an old custom field with a "Yes" / "No" value which is represented as Checkboxe on the Copntact page. I want to be able to setup a Workflow so that I can set that value to "No".

On newer custom fields with "Yes" / "No" values, they are represented as a radio button on the page. And so if I create a workflow for them, it is easy to specify that I want "No" as the value.

However I can't specify the checkbox to be "No". Since it is either ticked or it isnt.

Is there any way I can do this?

    Thanks.

  • Hi,

This is still possible to have display as Radio Button for a Boolean field so same steps should work as done in the past. It would be as following:

    1. Change field display format to Radio Button from Form Field properties

    2. Publish Entity

    3. Open workflow editor, set field value as per required

    4. Change field display format back to Check Box from Form Field properties

    5. Publish Entity

    Hope this helps.
