asp .net change default page from within website RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I am making a website and I want to be able to login to an admin panel and then change the default page to a maintenance page and vice versa should I need to take down the site for whatever reason.

NOTE - I am new to ASP .net but not Visual Basic.

    Any answers are greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

  • If the site is down, how are you going to show any page?

Anyway, you should post to the ASP.NET forum.

    https://forums.asp.net/

If the O/S, IIS, the registry, file system and user accounts are not harden to attack, there  are 1,000 page books that cover this and the experts can hardly protect the machine and IIS, then you'll just be putting another site that is hack bait and a jumping off point for hackers to attack networks.

I suggest that you look into a Web hosting site.
