windows 10 paint programme saves currupt file RRS feed

    hi 

    i am on windows 10 on a surface pro machine and using paint editing quite a lot. on occasions, when saving, the file saves with 0kb and consequently does not open. this is intermittent and does not come up with a error message. 

    we have re-installed windows 10 on a hope to rectify the issue, but it appears to have gotten worse

    any ideas?

    Paint editing using what application?  Are you saving this to the local disk, or to a file share?  If you're saving to a file server, sometimes it can take a moment before the data actually gets written out.

    @jon1273,

    Do you mean the default Paint app? So you are not programming and want to report a problem of the default windows app?

    That's rather drastic action to take for trying to resolve an issue.

    First if this app is not an app you wrote then you are in the wrong Forum. If the app is a Windows 10 app then you need to use the Windows 10 support forums for the app in question probably.
