Installing Twonly on a DIY WHS RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi everyone,

I can't seem to correctly install Twonly on my home built WHS.  Everytime I try to install, the application installs in itself on the C:\ drive of the machine I RDS into the WHS unit from.  I also can't seem to find the *.msi file after I install the program on my non-whs machine.  Please help if you can.

    Thank you!

  • To install generic software (not supported by Microsoft) on your server:
    • copy the installer to your server's shares
    • Log on to your server using keyboard, video, and mouse, or Remote Desktop
    • copy the installer to your desktop and run it from there.
Note that Twonky doesn't appear to officially support Windows Home Server. Some searching in the forums here will get you a lot of tips, and you can also visit the publisher's web site for help.

I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)
