[CRM2011] Missing parameters using CrmSvcUtil.exe RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Hi guys,

I've noticed that using CrmSvcUtil.exe in CRM 2011 and passing the parameters by the corresponding configuration file (CrmSvcUtil.exe.config) I miss the parameter "serviceContextPrefix" and any other custom one in the appSettings section. It would be nice to have that feature for future versions of this tool.

    Thanks.

    Regards.

  • I don't think I have ever modified this tool's config.  I have always just worked with the command line parameters like this:

I am not sure if this helps or not, but it is a fairly good crmsvcutil reference.

  • Having a look at the code of the tool, they use a class called CrmSvcUtilParameters, which keeps all the parameters, however ServiceContextPrefix  is missed. I saw that they fill this class by reflection, so if they add the corresponding new property for this parameter, automatically it will be there for any extension in the IDictionary of parameters.
