Multiple IIS 7 sites with the WHS Remote Access page on port 80 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I've added a site to IIS, and set the host name to example.com

It's running on port 80, and binded to the same IP address ( ) as the primary default website for remote access (the Windows Home Server Login page at mydomain.homeserver.com on port 80/443.

For some reason, going to example.com just pulls up the remote server access page . Can I not have multiple sites on port 80, with the default site running ?

It will work, if I change the bindings for the added site to 8080, or another port than port 80. Did I miss something? I read a little bit about changing the header information, but I haven't got much knowledge on doing that.

Would be happy to provide screen shots of my router and IIS configuration if you'd like !

    Thanks ! :)
