w7 not geniune

Question
-
The other morning when I turned on my pc there was a Windows Geniune Advantage box was up. I've called in by phone and done activation and everything about my windows installation says its been activated but I'm still getting the same box. This computer hasn't been recently formatted or anything of the sort.

OK - then this may help....
Please run the following commands in an Elevated Command Prompt
NET STOP CRYPTSVC
REN C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CATROOT2 CATROOT2OLD
NET START CRYPTSVConce complete, leave the system alone for at least an hour to rebuild the database, then reboot, and run another MGADiag report.
Note that this will delete your Update History - but all updates will remain installed, and can be viewed in the Installed Updates listing.Noel Paton | Nil Carborundum Illegitemi | CrashFixPC | The Three-toed Sloth

This may simply be caused by a bad set of Intel Rapid Storage Technology drivers -
Installing the Intel Rapid Storage Drivers
try downloading and installing them from here - http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProdId=2101&DwnldID=21730
(you want the iata_enu.exe download)
Once complete, please reboot twice, then post another MGADiag report.

It seems I'm unable to install that driver as it says that my computer doesn't meet the minimum requirements. Is there anything else that I'm able to do?Tuesday, January 1, 2013 12:07 AM

Try the slightly older set from here....

Well I ran those commands however my update history didn't clear and when I turned the monitor on a few mins ago the box was there. It seems to just pop up sporadically. Actually when I check my system tab it says that my windows needs to be activated do I need to go ahead and do that?

Yep - attempt internet activation.
If it fails, use telephone activation....
telephone activation (operator calls)
Click on the Start button
in the Search box, type
SLUI 4
and hit the Enter key
follow the instructions, but when asked which service you require by the telephone ansafone, do NOT reply - this should force an operator to respond, who can deal with you
