Updating Data in CRM Online Environment RRS feed

  • I have a customer that would like to use the Data Import functionality to update account records.

    The existing method for ON-PREMISE CRM environments is to export the data;  Make the first column the GUID;  then re-import the data.

    However, when exporting from an ONLINE deployment, the first column is not the GUID.

    Any suggestions?

  • AFAIK this isn't possible in CRM online. I've experienced this issue myself and there was no way to add GUIDs to the first column.  It would be nice if online and on-premise were consistent in this functionality, but it appears as though they aren't.
