PowerPoint Professional Plus Office 2010 - pps.exe file no association and unable to make it my default RRS feed

    Unable to open slide show from e-mail msg received is that there is no file association for .pps file. I am using MS Office 2010 with Windows 7 OS and everything is brand new. Could you provide the steps for me to make a default file for this exe file or tell me how to fix this. So that the pps file can be opened and the slide show seen.
