  • If you are trying to activate Windows Live OneCare, that means that you are either buying a subscription or you have already purchased a retail copy with the product key inside the package to use in activation.

    To subscribe or activate, you must be connected to the Internet, and you must sign in with a valid LiveID (used to be called a Passport). You can obtain a LiveID at http://account.live.com or www.passport.net

    Once you sign in, it will ask for payment information or allow you to provide a PIN, token, or key.

    If you are not presented with this option, but are instead redirected to http://get.live.com that means you are either located in a country where OneCare is not available for purchase or your Internet Explorer language is not the correct language for your physical location.
