Windows Homer Server Web Site Crashes with script errors RRS feed

  • Question

  • When adding or modifying a user to have remote access, the web site may crash giving a script error. The only way to fix it that I have found is to turn off remote access and then turn it on again.

WHS seems to forget the linkage between users and shared folders and willallow the user to log on then promptly throws them out when they try to access folders they have permission to see. It also effects other users as they start having the same linkage errors. After a few trys, the web site crashes and throws a non -recoverable error until the remote access is toggled.

The network configuration was manually set same as the domain. Both were existing setups and WHS was not allowed to configure them. Never the less, once the remote access is togggled, the issue seems to subside. Once the whs remote access is turned on, all services and we site seem to behave normally.

Has any one seen this problem and have established a reason and a permanent fix??
