Restore software on EISA partition? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Would it be possible to install the restore software on an EISA partition, or does the restore software expect to have full access to the entire drive that is being restored? It would help for PCs without optical drives (as long as the drive itself hasn't failed).

  • Bezalel, based on my understanding of how EISA partitions work, that would be possible. I'm not sure how useful it would be, though, since the most likely scenario for an image-based restore is a failed disk drive, and that would take the EISA partition with it. Creating such a partition requires tools that most people don't have, as well.
