Word 2002 Genuine problem

Question
-
Hi there,
I have a Dell Laptop that I bought back in 2004. Microsft word 2002 already was installed in it and I used to update it . I have activated the product. I am using Windows XP Home sp3 now after I did update my windows.
I am trying to update the product but the Geniune thingy does not validate :) .
Yes I have the COA on the back of my Computer. It says DELL. No OEM specified. However I have the Key for Windows in COA section.
The MDA Diag Tool results indicates that I have not activated it but I have. clicking on help and activate will tell me that I have.
In regards to licencing issue which says N/A I don't have any idea.
Here it is the MGA Diag Tool results:

Dav,
As previously explained what happens quite often are computers become non-genuine after a machine has been repaired by a business. Unfortunately it may take the customer a whole year to find this out. Why you ask? Simple. Customers have taken in their systems for service along with all the software received when purchasing their system. The customer picks up the system and viola' no problems whatsoever until they need to download an update or even a template used with an Office Suite. Suddenly their system is non-genuine. The customer's computer was not installed with their software but either a blocked Volume Licensing Key (VLK) or a Keygen’d Product Key. Also the software could work for several weeks, months, or even a year or more then suddenly become blocked. Does this make sense and help. There are shops out there who practice nscrupulous business practices. As mentioned previously I would encourage you to submit a piracy report. Please visit http://www.microsoft.com/piracy .
Take care Dav,
Stephen

Dav,
Please re-run your MGA Diagnostic report and post the unedited version here. Do not worry the product key is not captured in its entirety.
Thank you,
Stephen

Hey Dave,
Thank you for posting your Microsoft Genuine Advantage Diagnostic Tool information. We are sorry to hear about the situation your currently experiencing. Diagnostic results help our team in determining the root cause of your issue.
The Office Product Key installed on this computer was not assigned by Microsoft. The Product Key is counterfeit and was most likely generated by a Product Key generator. The Product Key found on your computer has been detected on multiple computers. Product Keys are only allowed to be used on one computer unless otherwise specified in the End User Licensing Agreement (EULA). You will find numerous sites where this Product Key has been posted. Use your favorite search engine and paste in the Product Key. Below could be a possible scenario.
There are situations which can cause Microsoft Office to become non-genuine. Let me give one example.
Under NO circumstances should someone try to download/distribute ISO images for software from a P2P file sharing site or use a second-hand burned copies of software. Research has shown that about half of the software copies available on P2P download sites are infected with root kits, spyware, Trojans, and other potentially harmful malware. One file in particular was very alarming. This file was an administrator account giving the attacker full control over both your system and data. I would be very concerned about your system integrity because Windows is non-genuine.
You will need to uninstall Office before any further complications occur from being non-genuine. As a customer there are several options available for you to get Genuine. For details on the ways to “Get Genuine”, see the web page that outlined your validation failure details. The link below provide all of the possible steps which you can take.
http://www.microsoft.com/genuine .
Please review the Validation Advisor for further guidance at:
https://www.microsoft.com/genuine/selfhelp/ValidationHelp.aspx
If this comes as a total surprise to you, please visit the retailer where you purchased Microsoft Office and let them know the Office software is a counterfeit copy. Request they immediately reimburse you and/or provide a Genuine Copy.
Windows Genuine Advantage (WGA) is here to help protect YOU, our valued customer. It is important for more people like you, who have become victims, to report piracy at the following link:
http://www.microsoft.com/piracy/default.mspx
Microsoft legal will follow up on all leads provided. Submitting piracy reports will assist in stopping unscrupulous business practices. You may be eligible for free software if you have high quality counterfeit discs.
Again, we are sorry to hear about your situation. Please be sure to backup or otherwise off-load any data from the hard disk because a clean installation/reimaging will destroy all personal user data on the hard drive.
Thank you for visiting the OGA program forum.

Hi Stephen,
But I have bought the system from DELL and It was installed in My computer when I purchased it. Do you mean DELL is installing a Counterfeit software on their machine?
I don't understand this. I have had this since 2004 and I have always updated it through windows update and office update. Now after 5 years all of a sudden it has become counterfeit?
Do i need to contact DELL?
Thanks

Dav,
Curious...has your computer ever been repaired? If so who physically performed the repairs? Let me know.

Yes it has been repaired when I was in Iran. Why?
Actually I just called DELL and talked to them they said it is possible that Microsoft word might be corrupt and
I need to reinstall it and install it and then check it again.
I will have to find the cd not sure where I have put after all of these years. If I cannot find it then I will uninstall it.
Thanks for your help.
