Hi everybody..
It may be a simple question to you all.. But am very new to this technology.. Also only three months of IT experiance am having..
I just installed MS CRM Server 4.0 in our server. How to access it from the our client machines. URL?
Also How to configure Outlook to access it?

you should be able to access it from you client machine using
http://SERVERNAME/ORGNAME/loader.aspx
you can donwload outlook client from
And here are the instruction to install it

Hi everybody...
Atlast, i successfully found the solution and installed it now.. I just entered in to that CRM domain and configured separately.. Now its working cool... Thanks to everybody..

1. Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Microsoft Dynamics CRM, and then click Deployment Manager.
2. Check Organizations.

Hi..
I cannot enter in to CRM site through the url.. Http://servername/organisationname/loader.aspx. from my machine. But i can able to enter in to it through the server machine browser. Any help?

What happens when you use http://servername from the client. Are you logged onto the server with the same user account as your client machine? If not then make sure your client login account is added to CRM as a User with a security role.
What does the client actually see when you try to access CRM? Is the server on the same domain/network as the client machine?

I am trying to Visual C++ runtime, but the installer stops after gathering the required information. Many times i tried it, but its closing.

Under IE, got the Internet Options->Security Tab and set the Custom LEvel fo the Zone that the CRM site is in (probably Local Intranet). Then set the Authentication to Prompt for Username and Password. Then try and reload CRM again, this time you should be presented with a login dialog. Enter the credentials of a user that is in CRM, the user account that it was installed under is the only one you probably have.

Ok.. Let me try it.. Then, i have installed client for outlook.. Now configuring via configuation wizard. What i have to give for intranet address, is it the url http://servername/orgname/loader.aspx or anything else? What for external web address?Thursday, August 12, 2010 12:15 PM

Thanks... I have given it.. But not able to enter. Its telling that "the specified MS Dynamics Server is not available.Make sure the URL is correct. Have you used http://servername, also do you have a port like 5555, if so then http://servername:5555

I used the http://servername. And i don't know how to see the port number? Any ideas? But in internet explorer, i used only http://servername. I can able to access the application.
