  • Bought a new (sealed) copy of XP Pro off ebay.

    Installed and activated fine.  Upon trying to update system using windows update I get a validation error.  Have I been ripped off?

    The product you purchased is trying to look like a systembuilder/OEM licensing kit for Windows XP Pro, but in reality the disc installed a hacked installation of a retail license for Windows XP Pro.

    Please waste no time in contacting the seller for a full refund, and act immediately to file a claim with eBay if seller refuses to give you a full refund.
