Windows 7 Domain machine local log-on RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have two laptops at work, both are HP-Pro and both are members of the same domain. My Domain account is a member of local Admin groups on both computers. There is also a local user account, also a member of Admin group on both computers. For some time now, one of the computers does not allow me to log-in to the one local accounts. I can edit any account properties from my domain account (change the password, access files, etc.) and when I attempt to log-in to that local account, the password I just typed in disappear and nothing else happens. Windows clearly recognize the password, because when I type a wrong one on purpose it shows the error, but the correct one just disappears and nothing else happens. It just started happening, everything was normal for a year before that.

Anybody knows what's going on? It would take me a lot of effort to re-image this machine, so i am hoping for a better solution.
