Try this
- type services.msc in the search box of the start menu, click on the result
- scroll to the software protection service, right click and select properties.
- insure it is set to automatic [delayed start] and then click on the start option on that properties page.
- reboot and re-run the validation at www.microsoft.com/genuine
If that fails then you will need to start a no cost WGA incident with MS at the link below.
