My copy of Windows XP is too big RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi there,

I got a MSDNAA copy of Windows XP Professional from my university. I installed it into a 20GB partition (C:) in my hard disk drive and downloaded all windows updates. The space free in my hard disk is 6.23GB which mean the OS is 14.3GB. Is it right? I have installed all other programs in a different partition (D:). The C: drive is only for the OS. I have discovered the program file folder in C: is almost 10GB. The space used in D: is about 13GB. Does it mean XP install most of the programs in both partition? Can someone help me to solve the puzzle please?
