ORDER MANAGEMENT SQL SERVER MAINTENANCE NOTICES RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Valued Customers,

Microsoft will be moving over our primary SQL Server databases to their new secure locations in two phases which will temporarily affect the Order Management system and how our customer’s order Windows and Office Genuine Advantage (WGA and OGA) kits. These updates will enhance our customer service globally by improving security. The expected scheduled downtime will require various time frames. Please reference dual phase system maintenance plan below:

Phase 1 Work Start: Friday November 2nd, 11:30 PM Pacific Standard Time

Phase 1    Work End Date: Saturday November 3rd 1:30 AM Pacific Standard Time

    Phase 1    Duration: 2 Hours

Phase 2 Work Start: Friday November 9th, 11:30 PM Pacific Standard Time

Phase 2 Work End Date: Saturday November 10th, 4:30 AM Pacific Standard Time

    Phase 2 Duration: 5 Hours

What does this mean and why are we posting here?  Team Microsoft wants to take every opportunity possible to notify our customers of process improvements and/or routine server updates. The planned outage means customers will not be able to access all of the Order Management websites:
