cant access http://servername:5555 from local machine RRS feed

  • Question

  • Ok - a bit of background, I am a novice with crm, I have installed it on a 2008 member server (IIS7) which is joined to a 2003 sbs domain. on the 2008 server I can access the CRM via http://localhost:5555 or http://servername:5555 and have created a valid user with crm admin rights.

On any other machine on the network we cannot see the crm web page i.e. http://servername:5555, do I need to run the IFD tool or am I just being a muppet and missing a link somewhere.

Please help, starting to really annoy me, even rebuilt 2008 and reinstalled crm.

    Thanks Nick

  • Sounds like a firewall blocking port 5555.  Not familiar with Windows 2008 but maybe it logs blocked connections in one of the event logs?  IFD tool would not apply here though.

  • hi Browndog,

I experience the similar issue and have already posted it on http://forums.microsoft.com/Dynamics/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=4123051&SiteID=27 what did you do to fix your issues? Hopefully I can replicate it to my machine.

    Thanks before
