CRM 2013 - Deleted Org and database, now trying to recreate Org with the same name and receive error - "Database having version 6.0.0.809 is not supported for upgraded" RRS feed

  • Question

  • We ran into an issue with a CRM 2013 Org that we created so we decided to delete the Org and its database and start over with creating the Org.  Also I should note that, after creating the Org originally, I applied SP1 for CRM 2013 to the CRM server and to Reporting Extensions on the SQL Server.

So, to start over--I deleted the Org and database and now when I create a new Org with the same exact name as the previous one, the process errors out at the very end with the following:

I chose to Ignore it and the Org creation process finishes, but now there is an Update Available option in Deployment Manager which makes me think that it is not up to date/cannot be updated in the future.  Has anyone run into this?  Is there something in the CONFIG database that needs to be deleted as well?  Any help is appreciated!  Thanks

  • Hi,

The Org that you deleted and tried to re-create, was that the default Organization (the one created initially when you installed CRM)? If it is, I have faced a similar scenario before.

  • Hi Dynamotion,

No, it was not the default Org.  I had done a Full Server deployment install which meant that I had to go back to Deployment Manager and manually create the Org after I had finished configuring Reporting Services Configuration Manager and installing Reporting Extensions.

Update: I right-clicked the 'Available' in the Update column in Deployment Manager and selected 'Update'.  It ran through the last bit of processing that it errored out on before and finished saying it was unable to complete the Microsoft.Crm.Tools.Admin.ProvisionOptInPatchAction. I clicked OK to finish and now it says 'Not Available' under the Update column.  Looks like the version is the latest based on SP1 (6.1.0000.0581).

It looks like it worked, but I am still a little wary about it.  Don't know what effects it will have down the road and/or if I will have trouble installing update rollups, etc.   Any thoughts/ideas?
