How to send one e-mail to multiple recipients RRS feed

  • Question

  • What is the best way to create a custom e-mail inmicrosoft crm and send it to multiple recipients. We want one e-mail with multiple recipients and not the same e-mail send x times (as much as the recipients).

Maybe it's a silly question but i cannot find the answer.

  • Put the recipients in the Bcc field, this will sand an e-mail to each one.

  • I am sorry i didn't described very well my question.
We want to create an e-mail, then select a few recipients from crm contacts (or leads) but from advanced find and not outlook adress book because we cannot search by multiple criteria, and send this e-mail to all of them as one e-mail. We want the recipients to be able to see who else has recieved this e-mail. Of course we also want to set regarding this e-mail to an entity (an account for example).

    How is this possible?

  • Check Marketing List where you can add recipients based on the Advanced Find and you can choose from Contacts,Leads. If you will have prepared Marketing List you can specify action which can be send email.
In general I recommend to see Marketing section in Dynamics CRM and especially Campaign possibility.

  • You can have a look at this tutorial as well to learn more about the Marketing Module how to send direct mail by creating e-mail templates, etc.  This is for CRM Online but most of it applies to On Premise as well.  There may be a few features that are available in On Line that are not available in On Premise.  This tutorial shows you how to use Mail Merge and other Mail features.

  • Hello Forum

I have the same requirement within CRM 2011 on-premise. I want to send a bulk e-mail, but the e-mail should go out just once, for example for a board invitation or so. So every recpient should see who got the e-mail. Any hints for that scenario comapared to a single e-mail...

    Thanks a lot!

  • Open Outlook, create the email, add a distribution list, use the Set Regarding or Track option in the Outlook Client to create the email in CRM and send the email.

  • Thanks Donna or create an e-mail in CRM, choose contacts based on the views (which is not applicable in Outlook Client) and put them in the required fields (to, cc, bcc)
