Error condition in Application - FileSystemWatcher / .NET cannot fully enumerate A:\ ? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I run an application that accesses my storage drive (A:) - the programmers says, as below:

" the .net framework does not fully support A:\. It makes it difficult or impossible (I don't remember) to handle to enumerate A: or create a FileSystemWatcher on it.

anybody got any insight into this?  the application is written in F#, if that has any particular consequence for .NET

  • Hi noone333,

    Thank you for posting here.

For your question, try to run as admin to get more permission. I am not good at F#, you could post your question in Visual F# forum for suitable support.

The CLR Forum discuss and ask questions about .NET Framework Base Classes (BCL) such as Collections, I/O, Regigistry, Globalization, Reflection. Also discuss all the other Microsoft libraries that are built on or extend the .NET Framework, including Managed Extensibility Framework (MEF), Charting Controls, CardSpace, Windows Identity Foundation (WIF), Point of Sale (POS), Transactions.
