Can't connect to network RRS feed

  • Question

I am trying to connect a laptop to our small office network.  The laptop is using Vista and the network is Windows Server 2003 with minimal secruity.  TCP setting range is - 255.

I tried to add an exception for that range in the advanced settings of Onecare, but it still won't let me access the network.

    Any suggestions

  • Try turning off the OneCare firewall to see if it is OneCare blocking the access to the DHCP server in some way.

If so, in the advanced settings of the OneCare firewall, place a check mark next to the selections for ICMP Outbound and ICMPv4 Inbound on the Ports and protocols tab.
