Conversations between OCS2007 & LCS2005

Question
-
When logging into the OCS server via Communicator 2007 in the domain, users can converse and see presence information fine with users that are still on LCS 2005 using Communicator 2005, however when connecting with Communicator 2007 via the edge server from an external network users are unable to communicate or see the presence of people who are on LCS 2005.
Conversation and presence works fine from the edge between OCS 2007 users logged on via the edge or OCS inside the domain.
If a user on LCS2005 sends a message to a user logged on via the edge, the "This person is sending you a message" dialog shows up, and the first line of the message they are sending - however when you click on the converstation it is blank.
Are edge users of Communicator 2007 supposed to be able to converse and see presence information of users logged in via LCS2005?

Did you already apply the patches referenced in Mike Adkins' previous post?

Hi Trent,
They are definitely able to send presence info and messages between the two.
I had this issue and it turned out to be that I had given my ocspool name the same IP address as my front-end server. I did this on purpose, because I only have 1 front-end server, but it turns out that this is a no-no.
For more detail, I wrote a blog about it:

which I derived from a different thread here on the forums:

Hey Matt,
Thanks for the info - I had seen your thread when I was searching through the forums looking for an answer.
I forgot to mention the most important bit of information - I'm using Standard Edition server.Saturday, September 22, 2007 12:25 AM -
