Hi,
I've set up a media library in Vail and can happily stream music over my LAN/WLAN. I have tested this by typing my homeserver URL in a browser and streaming the music via the Silverlight media player. However if I login to my homeserver from
an external internet location (I've tested several now) I get a consistent problem. I can see all the music, select the songs I want to play and can access things like the coverart and ratings but whenever the streaming starts it stays at Buffering:
0% and never goes up. As I said this works fine when on the LAN/WLAN.
The homeserver is connected to the internet via a firewall router and I've checked the ports and none are being blocked presently. Do I need to set up port forwarding anywhere?
Many thanks
H
