Live Desktop not being updated

Question
-
I'm trying to sync My Pictures Folder (with many sub-folders) between my PC and Live Desktop.
Storage shows 4042MB used which is also the actual size of My Pictures folder on my PC.
When I click on Pictures folder in Live Desktop it shows 3114MB confirming that this amount of data was uploaded within the first 3 days.
The strange part is that even though my Live Mesh Client shows that it is uploading, the size of My Pictures folder has not changed since more than 2 weeks now, with many pictures showing the "not yet uploaded icon".
I know it sounds wierd to say the least but I'd really appreciate if someone could guide me :-)
Thank you!

How deep are the folders nested? Are the files that are not synchronizing in the deepest folders or are they randomly located? Have a look here for a possible workaround if your folders are deeper than 4 layers/levels:

Thank you for your help. I did look into this thread before posting this question but unfortunately did not find it useful enough. My folders are at max 3 levels deep, so that should not be the case either. What I noticed is that most of the files not synchronized are Video file larger than 50MB, I do not think there is any file limit on larger files, if there is please let me know. Many thanka again :-)

You are correct - 50 megs is well within the limit, which is currently 2 gigs for a single file.
Details here: http://blogs.msdn.com/livemesh/archive/2008/08/13/the-potential-of-live-mesh-is-limitless.aspx
Try the following two things:
1. Change one of the local files that is not uploaded to the Live Desktop. Save it. (renaming is fine) See if it uploads.
If so, does it also kick start the sync for the rest of the files? If not, try number 2.
2. Remove the sync relationship for the PC. Go to the Live Desktop and change sync settings to not sync with the PC. This will not remove the files or folders already synchronized with the Live Desktop. Offer the folder to the device again from the Live Desktop and then accept it on the PC, by clicking the light blue desktop folder and then browse to the Pictures folder to sync again. Accept the message about merging. Does the full sync then complete?

Ok I renamed one of my subfolders and its name was updated on my Live Desktop in less than a minute. But this did not kick start rest of the sync. I would again like to re-emphasize on 2 things.
1. The issue is only with big video files of 50MB or more
2. Every now and then Live Notifier starts to upload but stops after a few minutes, then restarts and stops again and this process is cotinuing since past 2 weeks.
Previously it used to upload like 20MB of 78MB, then 77MB of 156MB, 2.8GB of 3.1GB and so on, but now its like 20MB of 279MB, and then again 2MB of 43MB and then 10MB of 71MB. What I want to tell by these confusing stats is that the uplaoded size is reset every some time unlike previously when it kept on increasing till 3GB or till I used to shutdown my PC or DSL.

If you are seeing activity, though sporadic, the best I can suggest is to try option 2 above and/or submit a bug report with logs per the instructions here:
How to Submit Bugs and Live Mesh Logs
Note that you probably won't get a response to the bug report, though. It will be transferred to the internal system to be assigned to the appropriate development group.
I agree that the behavior is not desirable. The activity in the notifier is something that was previously mentioned as needing more information and I hope that we'll see that improved in a later release as there's no way to understand what it happening with the current display as you described it.

Storage used 3972MB, which is approximately the size of the folder on my PC. But the actual size of my only folder on Live Desktop is 3029MB. I believe the former shows the space required for complete upload of the files while the second number shows the size of the files already uploaded. Am i correct?
I've tried number 2 but it doesn't really seem to work, will update the exact result in a while.
Thanks for your concern :-)
