Regini error 5 for SetValueKey RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am trying to modify the value of a key in the registry on Windows Server 2008 using regini.exe tool.  I even modified the permissions of the key to major full access ones (1,5,7,17).  But my updatation still fails with error code(?) 5 in paranthesis, as below.  Even I tried with all permissions enumerated all 1-23(!).
      REGINI: SetValueKey (PVSPTEnabled) failed (5)
REGINI: Failed to load from file 'my.reg' (5)

Any ideas to solve this issue?

    Thanks,
    Raja

  • Thank you Yan.  I later noticed it and I am not sure if there is a way to change the forum to another which I thought that was what I tried after that.  I am not sure which forum this topic would exactly fall under!
