New CRM 2011 installation on-premises - Error occurred when browsing the organisation RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

I have managed to install CRM 2011 new installation on server and everything installed fine with no errors.

I have created two organisations in the deployment manager and when i try to browse the organisation i get an error message as below:

    "An error has occurred.

Try this action again. If the problem continues, check the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Community for solutions or contact your organization's Microsoft Dynamics CRM Administrator. Finally, you can contact Microsoft Support."

I am not sure why this is not showing me the organisation, however when i run a query on each organisation in SQL it looks fine and the systemadmin table shows my login as user too.

I have added the website in IE as a trusted site but no luck.

Can anyone please help on this and let me know what i need to do???

I have tried to check the webserivce, IIS and have restarted those too but no luck either.

    Thanks

    Fayz

  • Hi,

Its a generic error, isn't very helpful. Any error in the event viewer or Crm logs? You can turn on tracing by using this URL http://support.microsoft.com/kb/907490

Get details of error and post it here.

  • Hi,

    Restart the CRM Services.

Check whether any port is blocking.

Check whether site is opening from the localhost.

    Restart the SQL services.

Check the status of that organization in deployment manager.

Disable the organization in deployment manager and Edit it again.
