Cant logon to local domain!! RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm in a bit of a sticky situation here. We just acquired a Dell XPS One running Windows 7 Professional from an organization that got new computers. Now, I don't understand a lot about domain usernames and logon servers, so you'll have to excuse my slight lack of knowledge. I cannot logon to this computer because "There are currently no logon servers to service the logon request". I figured out that I needed to be connected to the organizations network in order to logon. But is there any way to logon to my local network? I went to the switch user option and tried logging into a different domain, but it needs the local username and I have no clue what it is? Is it my home network name? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
