Don't have service tag RRS feed

  • I don't have my service tag. It is missing from the back of my computer. I called Dell but they can't help me without it. And won't tell me how to get it. can anybody please help me to find this , so I can order a recovery disk for my computer.

    To clarify what Carey posted, restart the computer and right at startup when the Dell logo is being displayed, press F2 repeatedly to enter the Bios Setup program.  One of the screens will have the Dell Service Tag.  Please do not make any changes to any of the settings!

  • Open the motherboard BIOS and the Dell Service Tag number is shown there.
