Install fails to reboot? RRS feed

    Hi all

     

    I am having a problem with installing the RC1 when the install reboots having formated and copied files it fails to restart

     

    Any idears How to fix / trouble shoot this?

    Maybe it need again the device driver, like your hard disk controller and a like, try F6 with your driver next time it boot.

    I not sure it does as it just ide

     

    boot and findes the drives does the format and file copy part of the install and only then fails

     

    It like is fails to write the MBR (master boot record) or the winodows loader.  I don't get an boot error from the bios it just sit there with a flashing cruser just not booting

    Then BIOS update maybe can solve that, some users reported that a system with 512 MB ram case some problem.

    But Still, since within the install, either pata or sata drives, good idea to try the driver update with F6.

    That all I can think of, sorry tho.
